Ella Moss was created out of the collaboration between Pamella Protzel-Scott (Ella) and Moise Emquies (Moss). While many people think Ella Moss is a specific person, Pamella says that "she is more of a muse, a modern bohemian, she represents the vision for the collection". Pamella, the designer and creative director behind Ella Moss, began as a graphic designer, but soon realized her true passion in pattern-making and enrolled at the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising in LA. She founded Ella Moss along with Moise in 2001. You can definitely see the influence of graphic design and printmaking behind Pamella's designs. We here at Babe. believe that this is why her designs continue to be unique, all while maintaining that specific 'wear-ability' that is necessary for truly timeless clothing.

One Dress, Two Seasons: Summer to Fall

Our first fall arrivals have begun to trickle in, and it is this time of year when we start thinking about staple items which we can wear well into the next season. 1.       What’s the occasion? Girls Dinner.

2.       Why did you pick this dress? The color and the cut. You have to find something on your body that you really like and play off of that.

3.       What is your favorite trend this season? I don't focus much on trends. The most important thing is fit and how things compliment my body and my favorite assets. And if a couple cut outs are thrown into the mix, that doesn't hurt either.

STYLE PROFILE: ADA COLLECTION

ADA Collection was founded in 2004 by Ada Komorniczak, who realized her inner talent for design while earning her International Law & Society degree and Master’s degree in Business. It was then she decided to pursue a project of her own. While traveling in South America, Komorniczak stayed in Argentina where she became inspired by the one-of-a-kind colors, textures, and finishes used to hand craft leather. In Argentina, she also met her business-savvy and entrepreneurial husband, Gaston Deferrari. Together, they started building their line of functional and versatile handbags made with rich leathers, known today as ADA Collection.

Since then, ADA has expanded their popular collection to include belts, wallets, and other leather accessories made with the same rich and smooth leathers, unique shapes, and functional details used in their handbags line.

1.       What’s the occasion? Just because!

2.       Why did you pick this dress? Maxi dresses are such an easy go to, because you can wear them anywhere and for any occasion. I also bought a Deux Lux clutch at Babe which is the same coral color as the polka dots in the dress!

3.       What is your favorite trend this season? I like that anything goes, and nothing is too matchy-matchy. I also love that this season is really about embracing personal style, which for a woman over 40 has taken a long time to develop!
